Autism Education Charity Knowledge For People Held Fundraiser In Honor Of World Autism Day

April is Autism Awareness Month in the United States and in honor of World Autism Day, the newly launched global autism education charity Knowledge for People hosted a fundraiser.


Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (1888PressRelease) April 09, 2009 - Organized by volunteers of the organization, the event took place April 3, 2009—one day after World Autism Day.

A donation of $30 included:
- All you can drink open bar from 8-11
- Appetizers from 8-10
- A donation to the Knowledge for People charity.

The event was sponsored by PenPal Notes: Educational Lunch Notes, a Chicago based company who matched 100% of all ticket proceeds. ABOUT KNOWLEDGE FOR PEOPLE
In many developing countries, autism is a little known disorder, and those with autism are often alienated by their communities and families. Knowledge for People brings teams of volunteers, trained educators and medical professionals to these countries to teach people about autism and how to manage it. By increasing awareness of autism and teaching appropriate interventions for the disorder, Knowledge for People aims to help families affected by autism cope with their everyday struggles.
