Hartford, CT (1888PressRelease)
April 19, 2008 - One of Lulu's top creators, Kimberley Beckom has just released her fifth book entitled "The Mommy Times". This humorous book pokes fun at the early years of motherhood and the bond between mother and daughter. "Being a mother can be hard at times, and I wanted to write a book that makes you laugh at the things that can happen in the early years of the Mother/Daughter relationship."
Kimberley's passion for writing started when she was nine years of age and had her first poem published in a local paper. She has since written two books of poetry and has received several awards for her achievements, as well as, a nomination for "Best Poet's of the 90's". Ms. Beckom is best known, however, for her self-help books on the syndrome Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia affects some 6-12 million Americans to date with wide-spread muscle pain and fatigue. "Living day-to-day with pain and fatigue can be difficult and you look for the positives of life to keep you going. That's a hard task when there's not much out there that's positive. I wanted some inspiration and encouragement once I was diagnosed in late 2005. I found that encouragement through writing."
