September 26, 2008 - Nick Chandler, author of a new autobiography entitled "Determined to Change", is due to be released in late December 2008 by Author House Publishing. This hard hitting book represents the life of a man, who against all odds, has survived, extreme poverty, child abuse, drug addictions, and a long and storied criminal background history as well as surviving seven prison stays spanning twenty-two years.
When Nick was released from his seventh prison stay he was determined to end his self-destructive choices and the repeating cycles of his life that kept returning him to prison. With little to no resources or money he began a journey of self-discovery and healing leading him to confront the demons of his past and the uncertainty of his future.
Determined to Change reads like a fiction book, however, gruesomely details Nick’s life from his early childhood in the swamps of Florida to life in the wealtjhy resort city of Naples Florida. Along his journey you see inside his soul to his innermost thoughts and feelings, while personally experiencing, through his eyes, the environment that created the man that was considered a menace to society.
