January 04, 2008 - Tapping Au Yeong Read & Assoc. as its Canadian representative allows for brand awareness, and sales expansion, through co-ordinated media and sales positioning. By combining sales and media efforts, Au Yeong Read & Assoc. will assist Planet Botanicals in developing brand awareness within the Canadian market, and will provide a solid foundation for an increased retail and consumer base throughout the country.
Planet Botanicals offers a unique collection of organic skincare with some of the most healing indigenous ingredients around the world. After traveling in Africa, Creator Michele Gilfoil discovered a range of unique skincare ingredients used for centuries by local communities. She saw an opportunity to align with local producers to bring these unique ingredients to the Western market and to foster an ethically balanced way of conducting business relationships. We are committed to conducting business in a win-win manner in ways that respect environmental sustainability, safeguards our natural bio-resource endowments and fosters authentic bridge-building ethical communities.
Today, Planet Botanicals is working with local producers and artisans throughout the world. In Africa, they are working with a local women’s cooperative that employs women for shea nut collection. And they are doing so in ways that are totally consistent with principles of fair-trade.
