March 21, 2008 - The Atlantic Biotherapies Biocluster, which is based in western France, will sponsor the BIO-Europe Spring conference, which will be held in Madrid from 7 to 9 April 2008. Six of the cluster’s members will be exhibiting together at Booth 36 and will also be meeting their Madrid biocluster counterparts during the trade show.
Atlantic Biotherapies is a High-Level Sponsor of BIO-Europe Spring. At the event, its stand will bring together six cutting-edge companies. Algenics is a producer of recombinant proteins from microalgae for use in therapeutic, cosmetic or nutraceutical applications, while Chelatec specialises in the radioactive marking of products used for therapeutic or diagnostic purposes, and for preclinical in-vitro and in-vivo evaluations. For its part, Clean Cells, a specialist in biological safety laboratories (level 2 and 3) for rapid inspections and regulatory validation of production processes and biological products, was an award winner at the Fondation Aventis – Institut de France 2000 event.
In-Cell-Art specialises in the safe transport of active principles (DNA, siRNA, proteins) right to the heart of cells, while Porsolt & Partners Pharmacology is a CRO specialising in animal pharmacology that provides evaluations of therapeutic efficacy and of drug safety for major vital systems. Finally, Vivalis SA is a specialist in using avian stem cell lines to produce viral vaccines and recombinant proteins, as well as in the customised production of viral vaccines and recombinant proteins that are compliant with GMP/BPF standards.
