    Dubbed to be bigger and better than its predecessors, the 12th edition of Asian Paper 2014 has many new additions on its plate, including the introduction of an exclusive VIP Programme for key industry professionals, expansion of its pavilions to include India, and a stellar result of 5,000 profile matches in its first Business Matching Programme.

    This upbeat sentiment is also underlined by new exhibitors from Europe, Americas, Middle East and Oceania, bringing the total number of participating companies to be more than 180. Over 5,000 visitors are expected to visit the show.

    The biennial anchor event brings together a formidable gathering of experts and professionals from the paper, pulp, and board industry, and showcases the full spectrum of paper making processes.

    The 2014 event theme: "Think Global, Act Asia, the sustainable way forward" aptly reflects the industry's environment and sentiments towards sustainability. Both Senior Management Symposium (SMS) and New Applied Technology (NAT) conference will be held in conjunction to Asian Paper exhibition, to cover extensively on current and future initiatives of industry leaders.

    This year's SMS includes panel discussions where delegates can exchange innovative ideas and best practices with industry experts. Renowned speakers from Asian Packaging Federation, Voith Paper Asia, and Japan Paper Association, etc. will focus on the latest market trends and cost optimisation technology to grow businesses. Specialists and experts from Kemira, Buckman International, Nalco, Emtec Electronic GmbH etc will address technical issues facing pulp and papermakers during NAT conference.

    On the eve of Asian Paper, some privileged visitors will embark on a guided mill visit tour to Fiber Pattana, a pulp recycling plant, and to witness first-hand, on the process of transformation of UHT packaging into various different end products.
