June 22, 2007 - AmbatchMasterPublishers founder and CEO Kelvin Hui today announced he will work with Canadian publisher Edwin Copps to create one of the world’s largest video sites to share revenues with videomakers and stars.
AmbatchMasterPublishers is recognized as Asia’s #1 web studio. Mr. Hui created the FriendEarth website (http://www.FriendEarth.com) - widely regarded as China’s answer to YouTube and MySpace. It grew at such a remarkable pace in the final quarter of 2006 and early 2007, Yahoo! bought the advertising rights before Mr. Hui sold the site to a consortium of Chinese companies. Under Mr. Hui’s guidance, FriendEarth was one of the largest and most successful video sites in the world to share its revenue with its contributors.
Edwin Copps brings over 30 years’ experience in media, marketing and publishing to the AmbatchMasterPublishers group. Kelvin Hui says, “This will be our most significant English-language venture to date. Our confidence is greatly enhanced because of the knowledge of people, entertainment and popular culture Mr. Copps brings to our group. He has demonstrated his skills at making website visitors stay longer and interact more with their fellow visitors. This is critical for the long term success of a high-traffic web destination.”
According to Mr. Copps: “AmbatchMasterPublishers and I are dedicated to providing one of the greatest online opportunities for aspiring video producers, directors, writers, performers – to not only showcase their talents – but also to be paid based on the quality and popularity of their contribution. We are now officially accepting applications and audition tapes for VideoIdol.tv.”
