Buffalo-Niagara Falls, NY (1888PressRelease)
August 03, 2008 - ArtifexShirts.com, an ecological and socially conscious t-shirt company, recently partnered with the GrassRoots Recycling Network and student-run CU Biodiesel: For every “Recycling” t-shirt sold, ArtifexShirts.com will donate $2 to GRRN. Likewise for every “Biodiesel” t-shirt sold, ArtifexShirts.com will donate $2 to CU Biodiesel.
Upon their inception in the summer of 2007 they aligned themselves with Native Energy. This gave rise to their popular “Windmill” design, which allocated $3 from every shirt, sold to purchase Carbon-offsets through Native Energy. They soon realized that partnering with like-minded organizations would set them apart from other eco-friendly companies.
“We’re not looking to become millionaires, just to enjoy what we are doing and to truly make a difference,” said Chris Reagen, co-founder of ArtifexShirts.com. “Although promoting the organic movement is a great start, it’s not enough. That’s why we are excited to work with organizations making a difference at the local level.”
Tim Reagen, the head designer and co-founder of ArtifexShirts.com, added “CU Biodiesel was started by some students taking an initiative at Colorado University. We really respect that. These guys are so much more inspiring than working with some behemoth organization that could care less about our partnership.”
