November 02, 2007 - Raleigh, NC: Raleigh artist, Suzy Andron, announced today that her piece, “Healing Waters” has been selected to represent the month of March in the Women’s Health Information Center (WHIC) calendar project for 2008. The calendar, titled “Women’s Art for Women’s Wellness,” provides a forum for local women artists to highlight the connection between art and healing. . “I am very honored to have been selected to have my painting featured in the month of March for the Women’s Health Information Center’s 2008 calendar,” said Andron. “ I hope that others feel the inspiration and depth I felt when I created Healing Waters.”

Suzy Andron is a North Carolina based abstractionist, who specializes in the use of an ancient form known as polytych. The color palette Andron favors is vibrant; the variety of textures she uses leaps off the canvases. Her compositions are exquisitely balanced, excitedly colorful and wildly innovative.
