Are Panic Attacks Ruining Your Life

Many people all over the world are suffering from panic attacks. Most people do not fully understand this condition, but for the sufferers, trying to live a normal life can be very complicated.

(1888PressRelease) January 27, 2007 - Chicago, USA – Panic can be a major issue in the life of people who suffer from this disorder, sometimes causing them to become prisoners in their own homes, in fear of having an attack in public.

The symptoms of a panic attack are frightening in themselves – A racing heart, hyperventilation, and a feeling of death, to name just a few. Panic sufferers can face major social problems, often trying their hardest to avoid situations which they feel could trigger another attack. Unfortunately this is only the start of the problems.

Stress and depression are also closely linked.

“I suffered from panic attacks for over 10 years of my life,” said Paul Simpson, a 30 year old from Chicago, USA. “During this time the panic took total control of my life. I was suffering from at least one attack a week and I could see no way out.”

Paul first had a panic attack at the age of 20. He recalls, “My first Panic attack came totally out of the blue, I thought I was going to die. It was the scariest experience of my life.” Unfortunately for Paul, like many others, it was the first of many attacks. The sudden surge of fear, that overwhelms the body during a panic attack, is the reason why many sufferers end up in hospital fearing the worst.

For some people, simple lifestyle changes can help combat panic to a certain extent. Cutting out certain stimulants, such as caffeine and alcohol, has been known to have a positive effect on some sufferers. Exercise is also very important, as it releases endorphins into the body, which are a ‘feel good’ chemical. Anyone concerned about panic attacks should seek advice from their doctor.

Paul was able to overcome his panic attacks using simple methods he found from online resources. “I found an excellent resource which helped me overcome the panic,” said Paul.
