(NASDAQ: ARST), a leader in enterprise security and compliance management solutions, today announced that Alternative Technology, a leading specialty distributor of thin-client/server-based computing, edge infrastructure, virtualization, and security solutions is an ArcSight Authorized Reseller Training provider in North America. Alternative Technology will provide ArcSight Logger Reseller Certification Training to its network of 3,000 resellers in the United States and Canada, as well as other ArcSight VARs, with classes beginning immediately.

ArcSight Authorized Resellers are eligible to obtain ArcSight Logger Certification. Students must attend training and pass the certification test at the end of class to attain the ArcSight Logger Certification. The class is broken down into three modules:
- ArcSight Logger Appliance Training
- ArcSight Connector Appliance Training (collects logs at remote sites and forwards to a central Logger)
- ArcSight FlexConnector Configuration Training (API tool set that allows collection of logs from non-standard devices)
The ArcSight Logger certification validates advanced knowledge and skills required to implement the ArcSight Logger, ArcSight Connector Appliance, ArcSight SmartConnectors and FlexConnectors. The ArcSight curriculum emphasizes Logger and Connector Appliance installation, set-up and techniques to combine these technologies in a single, integrated network solution.
ArcSight training is scheduled to be conducted at Alternative Technology locations in Denver, Fort Lauderdale, and Mississauga, Ontario, or arrangements can be made for onsite training.
