Arcadia's DailyMedô Pharmacy program will be offered to eligible Touchstone Health Medicare Advantage members beginning Jan. 1, 2011.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) December 02, 2010 - Arcadia Resources, Inc., a leading provider of innovative consumer health care services under the Arcadia HealthCare(SM) brand, together with Touchstone Health will offer its Medicare Advantage members the opportunity to enroll in Arcadia's DailyMedô Pharmacy program beginning January 1, 2011.
The DailyMed Program will help eligible Touchstone Health members eliminate the guesswork of taking multiple prescriptions by providing them with a monthly supply of medications delivered to their home in pre-sorted packets marked with the date and time they should be taken. High-risk members who might find it difficult to manage multiple medications will benefit from DailyMed's clinical team members who closely monitor the safety, efficacy and compliance of the medication therapy. The extra help and attention improves care while reducing health care costs.
"We are excited to introduce DailyMed to Touchstone Health members to help them more effectively manage their medication regimens. We believe the end result will be improved member satisfaction and increased medication adherence, with the goal of lowering health care costs by reducing unnecessary hospitalizations, nursing home admissions and other medical expenses," said Marvin R. Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Arcadia HealthCare. "DailyMed will simplify the often difficult task of adhering to complex medication regimens, which is critical to helping members remain healthy and enjoy a better quality of life. We believe our agreement with Touchstone Health offers further validation of our unique compliance and adherence model."
"DailyMed can dramatically change the way Touchstone Health members approach their medication therapy," said Bryan Birch, President and Chief Executive Officer of Touchstone Health. "Ultimately, this program is yet another extension of the Touchstone Health pledge to provide quality programs that increase member satisfaction while reducing costs."
Touchstone Health and DailyMed will launch a collaborative outreach to Medicare Advantage members who are eligible for the program. Members will then receive a letter and a brochure in January, 2011, detailing the features and benefits of DailyMed and inviting them to participate. In addition, DailyMed will outreach to members via phone to inform them of their eligibility. Targeted physicians will receive information regarding program benefits to eligible Touchstone Health members.
