  • Tyler, TX (1888PressRelease) March 26, 2015 - The Texas Library Association, a grand book fair that markets and improves library services in Texas, partners with the Texas Book Festival (TBF) to fulfill the public library grant program, the primary reason for the establishment of the Texas Book Festival. 2015 Texas Library Association will be held from Apr 14 to Apr 17, 2015 in Austin, TX and 2015 Texas Book Festival will be held from October 17 to October 18, 2015.

    The Texas Library Association continues to remain grateful to the TBF for all its support of libraries and literacy programs. At its every annual Book Festival, it award grants to Texas public libraries. It sanctions three different grant programs, namely technology grants, book grants, and literacy grants. The applications for the grants may be submitted from early November through the middle of January the following year. It cherishes the pride to award more than $2.5 million in funds to the Texas libraries till date.

    The Texas Library Association, via its TBF Committee, takes initiative to provide public information during the festival to promote literacy and awareness about all types of Texas Libraries. The Texas Book Festival has also been acknowledged as the venue for TLA's annual announcement for the Texas Bluebonnet Award Reading List.
