AppDynamics Brings Application Intelligence to India

Top Quote Company also Setting Up a Research & Development Centre in New Delhi, its First Outside the U.S. End Quote
  • (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2014 - AppDynamics, the application intelligence leader for the software-defined business, today announced it is open for business to the largest enterprise companies in India to take advantage of its modern, next generation technology solutions for application performance management (APM) and the broader IT Operations Management market. The company currently has staff located in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune to support its business initiatives in India and plans in the very near future to open official sales offices in Bangalore and Delhi, along with a research & development centre in Delhi, its first development centre outside of San Francisco, where the company is headquartered.

Subrato Bandhu is the Managing Director for the India operations. Mr Bandhu brings over 18 years of experience across the domestic and global markets, having worked with BMC Software for over a decade. Mr Bandhu and his team are responsible for overall business strategy, customer success, partner network development, operations and sales execution in India.

"Increasingly, businesses are becoming software-defined, and superior software performance in itself has become a key competitive advantage. The proliferation of E-Commerce companies in India is indicative of the digital transformation that's underway. Now more than ever, applications require an intelligence platform that can dynamically discover stress points even before they develop. We are excited to help Indian businesses exponentially improve performance of their web and mobile applications," said Jyoti Bansal, Founder & CEO, AppDynamics.

"The success of AppDynamics is largely because of our human capital investment. At AppDynamics, we're providing a platform for the brightest and youngest minds to ideate, develop new products and have a lot of fun doing it. Our R&D team in India will help architect and develop next releases for our global customers. We're serious about our India growth story, which is why we are opening three offices to ramp up our offerings," he added.

The outsourcing companies in India are looking for software products that will help them differentiate and show quick results. AppDynamics will partner with them to help enhance top line and consumer engagement for global and Indian companies, using application intelligence.

"The key focus for my team will be customer success. With legacy systems and long implementation cycles, it is increasingly difficult for customers to achieve tangible ROI's. Our aim is to provide an integrated Application and IT Operations platform that will deliver tangible ROIs in a short time and provide value to our customers," said Subrato Bandhu, Managing Director, AppDynamics India.

AppDynamics is the leading provider of ground-breaking and transformative technology solutions that look deep into the performance of Web and mobile applications by tracing the business transactions of every single end user 24/7 across the entire application stack of 'in production' applications. The data and business insights gleaned from this process allows the largest enterprise companies and their Integrator partners to closely monitor, manage and continually improve the performance of their business-critical apps, while at the same time leverage the business context to drive a more efficient, more profitable business. AppDynamics is game-changing because it has been architected from the ground up for today's modern cloud computing environments which are enormously complex, highly distributed and based on SOA (service oriented architecture) and Agile development methodologies. Legacy providers in the APM market, such as CA and Compuware, were primarily designed for the era of mainframe and client/server computing.

AppDynamics provides real-time access to minute aspects of application performance, allowing businesses to see the impact of performance issues in real-time. This enables customers to anticipate problems and resolve them quickly, thereby reducing the cost of performance incidents to the business. The consequence of AppDynamics' offering means that support teams can tie the performance of an application directly to the performance of the business.

Founded in 2008, AppDynamics employs more than 400 people. AppDynamics' founder Jyoti Bansal is the lead inventor on 14 US patent applications in the field of distributed applications management. AppDynamics is positioned as a "Leader" in Gartner's latest Magic Quadrant for APM and recently announced 175 percent year-over-year increase in bookings for its fiscal year 2014 (Feb. 2013 to Jan. 2014) and an annualized bookings run-rate of more than $100 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.
