October 03, 2009 - US Unlocked, a unique shopping site for consumers outside of the US, has recently opened it's shipping and personal shopping services to customers around the world. Due to varying shipping prices, import fees, and customs checks some merchants choose to ship only to within the United States. Linda Hemerik has stepped in, first for European consumers, and now worldwide, to provide the ability to ship the products internationally. This is done by providing a uniquely generated, one-time use shipping address within the US.
For shipping costs, the company has founded deals with its logistics partners to create competitive rates, allowing the customer the ability to balance speed and savings. For with sites acceptive of cards only from the US, a US Unlocked Card can be applied for. The card, which is rechargeable, has it's own American billing address, allowing the global consumer to make a purchase smoothly through checkout. Also available is the Personal Shopping service, which allows the customer to request a product and have US Unlocked carry out the searching, price quoting, and purchasing for them for a percentage of the total price of the item.
ApogeeInvent's role in the development with US Unlocked began small, working to assist in the integration the US Unlocked Card services for Linda, who had hired an outsourced team in India. Over time, their timely and professional work was rewarded with increased responsibilities. The Indian team was dropped and ApogeeInvent currently tends to the code and design of the site.
