Aon Expert Becomes First Insurance Professional Admitted To Chartered Surveyors Livery Company

Bill Gloyn, chairman - European Real Estate at Aon Limited, has become a Liveryman of the Chartered Surveyors Livery Company at a ceremony at the Apothecaries' Hall. Bill is the first insurance professional to be admitted into this Livery, which is usually restricted to qualified chartered surveyors.


(1888PressRelease) December 05, 2007 - Bill Gloyn, chairman - European Real Estate at Aon Limited, has become a Liveryman of the Chartered Surveyors Livery Company at a ceremony at the Apothecaries' Hall. Bill is the first insurance professional to be admitted into this Livery, which is usually restricted to qualified chartered surveyors. He is among the first non-qualified Liverymen since the rules of the Company were changed to allow a wider entry.

Bill was invited to join the Company by members of its Court who recognise him as a leading figure in the commercial property world. Bill has led the Aon team delivering insurance broking and risk management consulting for some of the biggest developments in the UK, including the Birmingham Bullring and Bluewater retail schemes together with the Drapers Gardens and Stock Exchange office projects in the City of London.

In a career spanning more than 40 years, the property risk expert has advised several industry bodies. Bill is a member of the British Property Federation (BPF) General Advisory Council and chairman of the BPF Insurance Committee. Both the City Property Association and the Westminster Property Owner’s Association have elected him to serve on their respective governing councils. He is also a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Masons.Corgi insurance services
