Miami, FL (1888PressRelease)
June 15, 2008 - On behalf of Cemone Glinton, Farrah Joseph, and Nicole Vascianna, we would like to announce the event, Garden of Eden. This event is a cocktail fashion benefit that will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 at Harrison’s Restaurant & Lounge. Hanging exotic vines, soultry international sounds, delicious hors d’oeuvres served on bamboo lined platters, and all of Miami’s finest socialites under one roof for a cause to cure a devastating pandemic. Garden of Eden will be a great social benefit event that will raise a generous donation to benefit Center For Positive Connections and their support services to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
According to Caresource.org, the state of Florida is ranked number three in the nation in the number of persons living with AIDS. Nearly half (42%) of all 2005 AIDS cases in Florida reside in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. These same two counties also comprise 43% of the state’s HIV cases.
Garden of Eden is the first annual benefit event designed to motivate young talented individuals to present their gift of the arts to the community. This event will allow them to build on their experiences, and aspire to work benevolently for the good will of others.
Guests should anticipate an artistic and talent full evening consisting of six fresh, up and coming fashion designers featuring Lila Nikole Rivera’s Amaya Swimwear from BET’s ‘Rip The Runway’, Verdette, Virginia Perez, Rebel Girl and others. Also, they will enjoy spoken word poetry, and live music by Miami’s own Black Violin, urban gospel artist Mozel and singer Jayceon from Orlando, FL.
Each designer will show their latest and full collection. Doors open promptly at 9:00pm; food and drinks will be served during the event. The after party begins at 12:00am.
Donations and V.I.P information can be found on the event website located at www.gardenofeden.vpweb.com.
Garden of Eden’s goals are to entertain guests, educate all, support a positive cause, while creating awareness and promoting prevention.
