Global Warming Mail Art Show To Benefit Women’s Wisdom Project |
| The 2nd International Mail Art Show is on view at Asylum Gallery, 1719 25th St., Sacramento, Sept 8th to 30th. A 2nd Saturday reception is planned for Sept 8th from 6 to 9 pm. The theme of the exhibit is Global Warming: A Hot Time in the Old Town! A portion of sales proceeds will be donated to the Women’s Wisdom Project, a nonprofit program of the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services. |

Short Center Repertory Gets Nea Grant To Produce Gilgamesh |
| The Short Center Repertory, a Sacramento-based theatre company of developmentally-challenged actors presents the world premiere of Gilgamesh, by Rick Foster. Commissioned by the National Endowment for the Arts, this modern adaptation of the ancient legend plays Fridays, Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm beginning August 3rd and running to August 19th at California Stage. |
