Angel City Chorale Partners With OPCC To Benefit Homeless

Join Angel City Chorale on "The Road Home" this spring as this amazing choir teams with OPCC, a Santa Monica based network of shelters and services for low-income and homeless people in Los Angeles. Proceeds from the sale of Angel City Chorale's newest album, "The Road Home", will be donated to OPCC.

(1888PressRelease) May 17, 2008 - Angel City Chorale (ACC) and OPCC announce an exciting joint venture to support our community’s response to homelessness, domestic violence, and mental illness. “Joining together with OPCC creates a natural partnership for Angel City Chorale because our goal is to build community one song at a time,” said Sue Fink, Artistic Director of ACC. “By participating in this alliance, we reinforce our commitment to making a difference in the communities surrounding us.”

In support of OPCC’s efforts, ACC will donate a significant portion of the proceeds from its newest album, The Road Home, to the Santa Monica based organization. “The Road Home is an apt metaphor for the journey our clients make to establish stability and independence,” said McKinley Williams, Development Director of OPCC. “We are extremely grateful to Angel City Chorale for this opportunity to join together to make a difference in our community.”

This CD will be premiered at ACC’s Spring Concert Series, featuring an eclectic selection of songs ranging from Classical, Pop and Jazz to Spiritual, Gospel and R&B, on June 7th and 8th at Wilshire United Methodist Church and at a limited seating event at Brentwood Presbyterian Church on June 15th.
