  • (1888PressRelease) November 08, 2016 - BREMEN, Ga. - Three inspirational Christian acts - singer and comedian Mark Lowry, family group Rambo McGuire and award-winning pianist Stan Whitmire - will take the Mill Town Music Hall stage on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Lowry started his career as a songwriter and singer, but soon weaved Christian comedy routines between music sets. Rambo McGuire, a Christian family singing group, incorporates a unique style of music. Whitmire has a diverse list of accomplishments, including a Dove award. Mill Town Music Hall focuses on wholesome, family-friendly music and events and is located conveniently off I-20 in Bremen (1031 Alabama Avenue).

    Lowry started making music at age 11. For more than four decades, he has created a lasting legacy as an entertainer who can make audiences laugh, cry and think all at once. He has a gift for communicating profound truths through music and storytelling. His lyrics to "Mary, Did You Know?" resulted in one of the most loved modern Christmas songs of this generation. For more than 20 years, Lowry has also been the baritone singer for the Grammy-Award winning Gaither Vocal Band. His work also includes DVDs reflecting on a variety of topics, the most recent release is titled "Dogs Go To Heaven."

    Rambo McGuire formed more than 30 years ago as a husband and wife duo with Grammy and Dove Award-winning artists and songwriters Dony McGuire and Reba Rambo-McGuire. Their daughter Destiny joined the family group on vocal and their son Israel completes the group by playing percussion. They have performed in a multitude of venues and in front of a variety audiences including presidents, kings, military troops, and at the Grammy Awards.

    Whitmire is a pianist who brings a musical heritage spanning several generations and covering a variety of musical styles. He has released several award-winning CDs throughout his career, including his Dove Award-Winning Joy Comes in the Morning. He served five years as keyboardist for the Grammy Award-nominated and Dove Award winning vocal group, The Nelons. In addition, he has been part of many In Touch Ministries (Dr. Charles Stanley) events and an integral part of the music ministry at Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta for more than 37 years.
