March 27, 2009 - Once known as Frontier Lanes, Scottsdale Lanes (on the corner of Thomas and Scottsdale Road) has received a major makeover which has “Scottsdale-ized” and upgraded the popular bowling alley with many new amenities.
With a new and improved interior décor, Scottsdale Lanes is living proof that modern bowling alleys have come a long way. From the snack bar to the upscale bar area, every inch of the alley has been upgraded in some way.
“We want to change the way the Scottsdale community views bowling,” said Mike Nowell, the general manager of Scottsdale Lanes. “We are inviting the community to come experience our new look and feel and the timeless fun of bowling. With the renovation, we are attracting a new customer base of people that aren’t just bowlers, but that also like to come and socialize with friends.”
The new Scottsdale Lanes boasts 24 lanes with automated scoring systems, plus a lounge area with billiards, plush seating and plasma screens. There is also a full bar and lane side grill, both stocked with freshly prepared food, including gourmet pizzas, and numerous beverage choices, including signature cocktails, such as the Big Bowl Margarita.
For the extra-adventurous, Scottsdale Lane’s Xtreme® bowling experience takes bowling to a whole new level of fun. Scottsdale Lanes cranks up the music and turns down the lights for late nights with wild bowling challenges, food and drinks.
