April 26, 2009 - American Health Systems Corporation, a leading Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance CRO, has announced that co-founder Steven Richardson PhD has stepped down as President and CEO. He will serve as Chief Financial Officer and a strategic advisor.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Alan L. Bess will take over Richardson’s responsibilities.

Before joining American HSC, Alan L. Bess, M.D. was Head of Clinical Drug Safety & Epidemiology at Novartis (2000-2008) and Head of Drug Safety at Hoffmann-La Roche (1994-2000).
