June 09, 2009 - Hyderabad - Brand Amaron today announced the launch of an unique contest that gives participants a chance to “Design the new look of Amaron Pro Racing Team!” Racing enthusiasts and other creatives can participate directly in the design of the team outfits, Pit stop, Rotax Karts & Cars. The designs will be judged by internationally acclaimed racers – Narain Karthikeyan, Karun Chandok and Armaan Ebrahim. The winning designs will be incorporated into the team gear for this racing season.
Enrollment is easy. Get started by going to Amaron micro site http://amaron.in/funkmyride. The contest can also be accessed through popular social networking sites like FACEBOOK/ ORKUT and sport-specific sites like team-bhp.com, isport. Once connected with microsite, three simple steps have to be followed:
1. Register and choose the category of designs you would like to enroll for.
2. Download your canvas
3. Submit the completed creatives to the given email id or send through the snail mail.
• Open competition invites artists, designers, creative junkies, dreamers, professionals & amateurs to design team’s new race gear , Pit stops & race machines
• Amaron Brand Ambassadors’ Narain Karthikeyan, Karun Chandok and Armaan Ebrahim will judge the contest
• Team Amaron will proudly sport the new designs on the race tracks for season 2009!
The open contest will be on from 8th June, 2009 to 21st June, 2009 and winners will be announced on 23rd June 2009.The competition aims to not only engage the potential designers but also create a strong motorsports community and provide a satisfying experience.
Amaron Pro Racing Head - Motor Sport Mackinlay Barreto said, “We are always looking at interesting ways to engage audiences with Amaron Pro Racing. We believe that the best way is the fun way. It has to be relevant, interesting and satisfying an experience. And so we came up with the novel idea of a design contest; Funk My Ride. It’s a first in racing!”
He further added, “We recognize the growing importance of engaging our customers in the communities where they hang out online—that’s increasingly on sites like Facebook, Orkut. We’re looking forward to checking out some cool art soon and selecting the design winners.”
The winners will travel for any of the Rotax or Formula racing series in India and spend a day with us at the race tracks. Date of travel will be announced later.
