September 30, 2007 - Mellany Duray shares her story with her experience with Amara Career and Business Development.
I was working before with Citi Hardware Corporation. I have had a lot of experiences with customer service and attending to the customers needs. I have been with the retail industry for quite a long time and just a few months back, I decided to shift to a more rewarding career which is to work in a call center. I did have confidence in myself but I felt that it was not enough. I tried applying in different call centers but then I failed in their simulations, must be because I dont have the call center experience that I need.
I read an ad in the newspaper and I chose to be trained in a Training Academy. Unfortunately, the schedule of the training center got mixed up and thus have delayed its classes. I was starting to lose hope until one day, Mark Lester Chavez from Amara Development sent me an SMS asking me to train with them. I gave it a try.
In Amara, they did not only teach me how to speak in English, but also.. they help me realize the real fun of living our life. I was able to see the different potentials inside me and the trainers encourage me to develop these potentials and use them for the better.
After a months time, I got my call center job with Sykes Asia... and now I am happy.
Thank you Amara for helping me reach my dream job!
