August 25, 2009 - The award was presented by five local Cleveland Clinic hospitals, including Euclid, Hillcrest, Huron, Marymount and Southe Pointe.
The award recognizes outstanding service to long term care facilities from area medical professionals. Altercare of Mentor Center nominated Dr. Baniewicz for the award because of the outstanding care he provides to the facility's residents. Only four physicians in the Cleveland area were selected for this award.
Dr. Baniewicz has served as Medical Director for Altercare of Mentor Center since 2006. According to Diane Laneve, Adminstrator,“Dr. Baniewicz shows great compassion for our residents, and is always available for family members to help them with information and decisions. Dr. Baniewicz plays an integral role in achieving our mission of quality continuing care.”
