October 20, 2008 - The local and regional authorities fully support PAVA’s project of advanced wheat grain processing. With this view, Alexander Karlin, Governor of the Altay Territory and Andrey Ananin, OJSC PAVA Director General signed an “Agreement on social and economic partnership between the Altay Territory Administration and OJSC PAVA”.
This cooperation will help to create favourable environment for implementing PAVA’s project, which is in keeping with the priorities of regional socio-economic development. The administration undertakes to promote international and interregional business relations, assist the company in targeting new markets and develop its industrial potential. The main issues of the agreement include tax remissions, provision of gas and power supplies, help in allocation of agricultural lands, environmental security. The regional authorities will also facilitate in preparation of necessary documents and licenses.
To recap, PAVA announced construction of advanced grain fractionation plant in 2007. It will be built in Rebrikha district on the basis of the existing flour mill, and tentatively, put into operation by the end of 2010.
The company’s management is certain that the new processing project based on innovative technologies is a big step towards recovery of the local agriculture. It will increase employment, income of the farmers, supplying feedstock for the plant and strengthen the budget revenue. Besides, economic benefits will be bolstered by maintenance of social infrastructure which will improve the quality of life for the rural population.
