October 23, 2009 - AlliedPath, a state of the art clinical laboratory specializing in solid tumor cancer- molecular diagnostics, announced today the appointment of Richard C. Friedberg, MD, PhD, and Eric Topol, MD to their Scientific Advisory Board.
Richard C. Friedberg, MD, PhD is Chairman of the Department of Pathology for Baystate Health in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is also Professor and Deputy Chairman of the Department of Pathology, Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Friedberg holds a BS from Stanford University, a PhD and MD from Duke University, and a Masters in Health Care Management from Harvard University.
He is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and a member of the Board of Governors. He is also a member of the CAP Council of Government and Professional Affairs, as well as the Strategic Planning, Technology Assessment, and Finance Committees.
Eric Topol, MD is Director, Scripps Translational Science Institute and Professor of Translational Genomics, Department of Molecular and Experimental Medicine at The Scripps Research Institute. He is also the Founding Dean, Scripps School of Medicine and Chief Academic Officer, Scripps Health.
Dr. Topol holds a BA from the University of Virginia and MD from University of Rochester, is a Tenured Professor at the University of Michigan, and Founder of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
