September 30, 2008 - The all new 2009 Hyundai Genesis is Hyundai’s new flagship sedan with Hyundai’s first rear-wheel-drive car for the US market.
The Genesis is a spacious luxury vehicle with a host of latest technological features. The Genesis comes in two trim levels. The base 3.8-liter V6 engine has an output of 290 horsepower, while the higher 4.6-liter Tao, V8 engine delivers 375 horsepower. Continuously Variable Valve Timing, which optimizes the power, is given for both engines. Both trims have a six-speed automatic gearbox with manual shift capability. EPA estimates for the 2009 Hyundai Genesis are 18/27 mpg city/hwy for the V6 trim, and 17/25 for the V8 version.
