April 03, 2009 - Hailing from Albania (Europe), Erion Kacani has an extensive and impressive resume of accomplishments, including most recently writing songs for Donnie Clang of "Making the Band" fame (Bad Boy Records) and has also worked with Eren Cannata (Brown Dog Records).
Unlike many USA pop stars, Erion had a tough childhood and watched his Mother Country (Albania) get torn to shreds through war and poverty. Living without basic necessities like electricity and water, Erion turned to writing and music to escape the turmoil. At age 11, his mother moved him to Greece to start life anew. It was there that Erion experienced racism and the fear of speaking his own language and that set him deeper into his writing and music. Eventually he migrated to the USA and found a home in New York City.
“While we always live through rough times, now and then we should always make the best of it,” Erion says. “Life is not a perfect smile but we should try through music and poetry to make the best of what we are dealt.”
Erion has urban pop dance tunes and ballads that will cause tears to fall and hips to shake. He is well diverse in his music, liked by all ages, and versatile. He throws a stellar performance and gains quick crowd recognition with his looks.
“Drop your back down” is slated to be his next hit. “Erion is talented, well versed, lyrically dynamic, performance conscious—in all aspects he is a true entertainer, “Mark Rogus of Go Large Records said. “He has a hit with ‘Drop your back down’ and I do see Erion becoming quite the next big artist to pop.”
