All of the company's data sheets are available in .pdf file format and are accessible via the main menu at the company's website.

AirPal-PTS, Inc. pioneered air assisted lateral patient transfer, bringing the first commercially available system to market in 1984. No hoists or heavy mechanical apparatus are needed for horizontal patient transfer with the AirPal® System. Unlike traditional patient lifts that require special attachments and apparatus for horizontal patient transfer; the device that AirPal® pioneered and brought to market has an underside that is perforated for air release. The device is attached to an air supply which forces a constant flow of high volume/low pressure air which causes the device to inflate a semi-rigid surface (or 'platform') for patient transfers or positioning. Upon inflation, air escapes out through the perforations on the bottom of the device. A frictionless surface, literally a "cushion" of air, is formed upon which the patient is moved in comfort and almost effortlessly.

A typical AirPal® Platform Patient Transfer System consists of the Inflatable Patient Transfer Pad and AirPal's® compact Air Supply and Hose (AirPal® also includes a reusable protective liner with every system it sells). An optional accessory is the AirPal Stand; a storage and mobility solution. AirPal® Platform Patient Transfer Systems are available in a variety of widths, to accommodate patients of different sizes.
