Paras Institute of joint replacement and orthopaedics is a multidisciplinary team staffed by five consultant surgeons, surgical staff, dedicated nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
The department provides consultation and treatment for all general orthopaedic ailments and benefits from a consultant body with established interests in the sub-specialist areas of upper limb surgery, complex shoulder surgery, hand surgery, hip replacement (conventional and resurfacing), revision hip replacement, knee replacement, revision knee replacement, complex knee ligament reconstruction, surgery for degenerative conditions of the knee, foot and ankle surgery and paediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine.
We undertake all kinds of surgeries and operations related to both injury as well as other diseases of the musculo skeletal system using sophisticated equipments Joint Replacements like Hip Joint and Knee Joint (TKR, THR), arthroscopy, fracture and spine surgery are regularly done with outstanding results.
Orthopaedic or poly trauma is managed with assessment of patients in the emergency and treatment begins immediately by a team of dedicated trauma specialists which includes orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and critical care specialists.
The Trauma Service physicians care for patients with recent or acute injuries as well as those who have chronic problems or complications of previous injuries. Treatments are highly individualized and often include operative procedures as well as non-operative care such as splinting, bracing, and casting. Rehabilitation after injury is a critical part of the treatment plan. Restoration of function, return to normal activities, and prevention of pain and deformity are our goals as we care for the total patient in a multidisciplinary environment.
