February 13, 2008 - Selected for its proximity to Aero's headquarters in Mason, the 145,000 sq. ft. space, expandable to 415,000 sq. ft., features 32 ft. high ceilings, key to the new warehouse system being employed by Aero. The new warehouse system is significantly more efficient than standard warehouse configurations because it uses higher than standard racking, which maximizes the vertical space, and a very narrow aisle racking system, which maximizes the horizontal space. Specialized turret forklift trucks, designed for narrow aisle configurations, have been put into use. This new facility will allow Aero to provide the highest levels of efficiency possible for those clients whose programs are high-volume, heavily bar-coded and very standardized. Aero plans to hire an additional 25 employees within the next 6 to 12 months.
