October 30, 2008 - AdvantaPure is pleased to announce the immediate availability of its wire-reinforced EPDM hose for applications involving pharmaceuticals, chemicals, foods, and beverages. The highly flexible hose, called APEWF, is engineered to handle a wide variety of fluids in applications requiring elevated pressure and vacuum.
APEWF is constructed with a smooth, white EPDM rubber core reinforced with a wire helix and multiple layers of durable rubber. The hose provides flexibility and a smooth, sanitary inner surface for unrestricted flow. Uses cover pharmaceutical processing, beverage transfer, potable water lines, washdown stations, coolant transfer, glycol lines, and others.
The hose’s performance advantages include:

· Improved flexibility over stiffer fluoropolymer hoses
· Helical wire reinforcement to handle a higher level of internal pressures
· Custom-designed hose construction to easily manage bends, turns, and corners

APEWF handles temperatures from -40°F up to 248°F (-40°C to 120°C), a range wider than standard EPDM hoses. It’s stocked in sizes ranging from 3/4” to 4” I.D. (19mm to 102mm). A full line of crimp-styles fittings and collars is also stocked, and custom hose assemblies are available.
