July 01, 2006 - Mokena, IL - Advantage Life Screening, a division of DiaTri, LLC, has partnered with Life Time Fitness facilities throughout Illinois. From January through April 2006, Advantage Life Screening will be visiting all eight Life Time Fitness centers providing Preventative Ultrasound Screening services to interested members.
Advantage Life Screening began operations in Illinois in January 2005 and is a provider of wellness health screenings. These services are provided on a mobile basis, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and certified ultrasound technologists. Advantage Life Screening is able to offer these tests at locations close to homes and offices. The types of screenings offered by these mobile units are stroke/carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease, thyroid, osteoporosis and heart disorders/echocardiogram. Recently added is a state-of-the-art Intima Media Thickness (IMT) screening which will detect atherosclerosis in its very early stages. IMT tests are obtained utilizing SonoSite equipment and software. After test(s) are performed, films are produced, read by on-staff cardiologists and radiologists. The films and test results are then forwarded directly to patients.
