May 05, 2007 - Steady focus has rewarded Adrain Washington, noticeably with roles in movies such as “Hard Luck” (Wesley Snipes, Mario Van Peeples), “On the Edge”, and HBO’s “Everyday People” (Jim McKay, Nelson George). This year also marks the first year Adrain’s company, “No Deals With The Devil Filmworks, LLC.”, has been in existence.
Adrain states “If hardship brings enlightenment, I’m enlightened enough to know I have a long way to go and a short time to get there.” For the last three years Adrain has concentrated on developing skills that transcend complacent and contrived story telling of personal interactions from all walks of life.
Over this space of time Adrain has continually worked on shorts and feature length scripts as an actor and from the filmmaker's perspective. These projects have been seen by directors and producers such as Terry Winter (Sopranos) and Steven Spielberg (The Lot).
Nominated for awards for his writing and acting, Adrain Washington is truly a diamond in the rough, on his way to the top. Look for this rising star in Ridley Scott’s “American Gangster”. As well as his first feature film “The Angel Project”, written by Adrain, entering production in September 2007.
