  • (1888PressRelease) November 28, 2013 - SAN DIEGO, Calif - Aculon, Inc., a leading nanotechnology enabled performance coatings company, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has allowed a patent covering their method for packaging organophosphorus acids into individual packaging materials such as wipes.

United States Patent Application No. 8,445,423 discloses the requirements for packaging these organophosphorus acids via packaged wipes. Once the applicator, such as the wipe, has been infused with the diluted organophosphorus fluorinated material, it must be placed in a package that is impermeable to the carrier solvents. These packaged technologies can now be easily transported for easy application of these specialized coatings at nearly any location with no specialized equipment needed.

"We believe that this technology advancement offers a significant advantage to the current and more complex application methods for applying repellent coatings." Comments Edward Hughes, CEO of Aculon.
