  • Birmingham, AL (1888PressRelease) January 13, 2011 - Find A Dream-a nonprofit organization that reaches out to community children and provides them a healthy channel to find and work towards fulfilling a dream-has recently announced actor Eric Martinez as the organization's National Speaker.

Martinez-an actor who is quickly becoming a recognized faced in the entertainment industry, has much going on for 2011 yet still plans to donate his time and efforts to Find A Dream as often as he can.

"I got a lot going on for 2011, and I'm looking forward to a great year," said Martinez. "On January 16 I'm playing in the Hoops for Hopes celebrity basketball game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, as well as hosting at the House of Blues on several occasions. Also later this year the movies Vicious Joe and Last Summer will be coming out, so I'm excited with all the cool projects going on."

When presented the opportunity to be part of Find A Dream, Martinez didn't hesitate to come aboard.

"When I was approached by Rod Ricciardi and was asked to be part of it, it really was a no brainer for me," said Martinez. "The base of the organization is to create awareness for children that are less fortunate, and everything it stands for is so positive, I immediately wanted to be a part of it and get my friends involved."

Since coming aboard Find A Dream, Martinez has brought on actor Quinton Aaron from The Blind Side, Rob Garcia-Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya's former trainer and celebrity trainer-as well as several other Hollywood socialites.

"Eric has gone above and beyond for Find A Dream since coming on board with us," said Rod Ricciardi, co-founder of Find A Dream. "As busy as he is, he is always working on bringing new members onto our team and spreading the word about the organization. Naming him our national speaker was an easy decision."
