November 04, 2009 - ACIS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz Insurance Plc., UK, had its third facility at Technopark Trivandrum inaugurated today by Mike Nithavrianakis, British Deputy Commissioner and Andrew Torrance, CEO, Allianz Insurance, UK. The new facility spread over 40,000 sq. ft. will have total capacity of 600 seats. The first phase opened today is 250 seats and will primarily be used for global Application Development and Maintenance projects for Allianz. ‘Green IT’ concepts are at the heart of the design using sustainable environment friendly material, energy efficient fixtures, intelligent air conditioning and allowing for natural light, in alignment with the parent company’s measures to avoid climate change and its impact.
In his brief remarks post the inauguration, Mike Nithavrianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner said, “ACIS is an excellent example of Indo British partnership in Kerala and am pleased to be here at the inauguration of their third facility. I congratulate all concerned at ACIS and wish them well for the future.”
On the occasion, Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark, said, “ACIS has been a lead reference for Technopark. That the third facility of ACIS is also in the Technopark campus is a validation of the ecosystem we have created here.”
Interacting with journalists at the inauguration, Andrew Torrance, CEO, Allianz Insurance Plc., UK, said, “We will continue to grow ACIS and am happy to see ACIS moving in the direction of being a shared services center of choice for Allianz globally.”
