December 15, 2008 - Quebec City – AceProject 4.6 introduces the concept of private and public documents. People can share a public document with someone who is not an AceProject user, for example a contractor or a client. “This is great to send a link to a client for approval, or simply to share documents with people who don’t otherwise need access to our AceProject account,” says Daniel Raymond, president of Websystems, inc.
AceProject 4.6 also features improved email notifications. AceProject users can request email notifications for tasks that are part of a dependency chain. “We wanted to improve the workflow in AceProject, so that people would know when they can start working on their tasks,” says Pascal Fortin, a member of AceProject’s development team.
To make project creation faster, AceProject now includes inactive project templates. Those are templates that do not show up in task lists, email notifications, or time sheets.
“AceProject is very popular with consultation-based businesses. We wanted to include new features in version 4.6 that would help our customers interface better with their clients,” explains Karine Simard, Director of Marketing for Websystems, inc. “We chose these improvements because they were requested by our customers.”
