Accrual Functionality Enhanced In Staff Files 5.0

Improved accruals functionality in Staff Files human resource software.


(1888PressRelease) June 12, 2007 - FARGO, ND – Staff Files 5.0 has improved the accruals feature by adding an Auto Accrual wizard. The Auto Accrual wizard sets up time-off policies, so vacation and sick time can accrue automatically. A defined trial period for new employees instructs accruals to begin after the trial period. The reset function automatically resets the time-off balance at the beginning of each year. The carryover function sets the maximum amount of unused time that can be carried over into a new year. The seniority table wizard is used to define the amount of time-off an employee should receive based on their length of employment. The accrual period, which is the frequency at which time will accrue, can be customized to standard or custom time periods.

Vacation tracking is one way to use the Accruals Tab. Many Staff Files clients have found other purposes for the accrual feature. “We needed a better way to accrue time-off and the ability to accrue for a separate holiday time category,” says Frita Fears, Communications Supervisor, Madison County Fire Dispatch.
