  • (1888PressRelease) April 23, 2014 - Aberdeen, United Kingdom - KB Associates Europe (KBAE) is pleased to announce its accreditation by International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) to deliver the Assistant Life Support Technician course (ALST), Trainee Air Diving Supervisor (ADS) and Trainee Bell Diving Supervisor (BDS) at its training facility in Aberdeen. This adds into our portfolio the IMCA approved training courses - IMCA Diver Medic Technician course which are currently held at the Chichester Medical Education Centre (CMEC) in UK.

    The ALST training is the fundamental course for new entrants to the IMCA Life Support Technician, equips personnel with the necessary skills to control the chamber environment and having the knowledge of physics, physiology and medical aspects so as to support divers in high pressure environments. The Trainee ADS training comprises of diving physics, anatomy & physiology, plant & equipment, legislation & guidance, air diving emergencies etc; whereas Trainee BDS training comprises of dive systems, system monitoring, chamber procedures, gas handling, diver & emergency evacuation, supervision and leadership etc. Both IMCA ADS and BDS certification will allow commercial divers to supervise complex engineering tasks underwater, be globally recognised as a supervisor and enable them to work worldwide.
