Hooper drives traffic to his accommodation website by using a combination of Google AdWords and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques. Hooper explains that maintaining The Grampians Accommodation site requires minimal effort: “I really love the fact that I can watch my favourite football team play and come home to see that my site has generated revenue. Based on the performance of his Grampians website, Hooper recently created a new online booking site which covers the entire state of Tasmania, www.booktasmaniaaccommodation.com.au. Although the website has only been live since June 2009, early indications are that it will enjoy the same level of success as its predecessor. “On night one, I sent out a little over one hundred emails and the following day, the phone did not stop ringing with suppliers interested in listing.”
