  • (1888PressRelease) August 29, 2011 - Chula Vista, CA - Abram Jimenez, Chula Vista resident is reaching out to remind Chula Vista residents of the numerous benefits associated with volunteering.

Abram Jimenez of Chula Vista is a longtime advocate of volunteerism and is reaching out to share his experience with fellow residents in the hope that they too will get involved. Abram Jimenez recently spent time helping out at an adult residential facility for individuals with developmental disabilities located in Chula Vista and experienced the spirit and gratitude associated with simple acts of kindness.

Abram Jimenez was prompted to share his experience as way of prompting others to volunteer. "The benefits of volunteering extend far beyond the obvious act of helping an individual in need," explained Chula Vista resident. Abram Jimenez. "The time I spent at the Chula Vista adult residential facility was beneficial, not only for the residents," said Abram Jimenez, "but also to me; I was amazed by the spirit of volunteerism I experienced that day."

Volunteers are able to engage with the greater community and gain a sense of satisfaction in knowing that they can make a difference by assisting others. When parents promote volunteerism within their family life, children are allowed an opportunity to build a base on which to lead a life of community involvement and support for those needing assistance. As a Castle Park Assistant Principal and longtime educator, Abram Jimenez recommends getting children involved in community service early.

Volunteering and getting involved in your community is a win-win for everyone and Abram Jimenez hopes that all Chula Vista residents will do what they can to help out their community.
