March 04, 2008 - Almost everyone who has a website online would wish to know how popular their website is and if a search engine favors it. There are a dozen ways to find out and as a result measure, a search engine's impression of a domain. And these impressions are used as a measure to find out the popularity of the domain.
"According to statistics, a lot of website owners would like to know how their website is doing, in terms of traffic, visitors, and popularity," says COO Mr. Tang Chin Yong. "With this in mind, our team got to work and came up with the Domain Statistics tool, to help our users in finding that out."
The Domain Statistics tool queries 3 major search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN Live) to find the number of indexed pages and back-links that a particular domain has. The results of the queries are as actual and accurate as possible, and can be used as a measure of how popular a domain is.
To utilize this tool, simply access http://www.ablewise.com/tools/domainStatistics, input your website URL and hit the "Get Statistics!" button. The results will display the number of back-links and indexed pages each search engine has of your site. It will also show you when this particular domain was registered and for how long it has been active.
"This tool should be used at regular intervals, like once a week, to gauge the 3 search engines' impressions of the domain in question," adds Mr. Tang.
