Aba Search and Replace 2.1 Released
A new version of the fast search tool is available. The users can quickly correct errors, rebrand their products, or replace copyright notices on their web pages.
"The first thing users note is incremental search," says Peter Kankowski, Aba founder. "You can immediately see the results as you are typing the text to search for. Other tools require confirmation for each replacement, while Aba shows the list of replacements; you can review and confirm them by pressing one button."
Aba Search and Replace lets web developers quickly correct errors in multiple files, change product names when rebranding them, replace navigational elements on web pages, update copyright notices and legal boilerplate. Power users can employ regular expressions to replace absolute links with relative ones or to add attributes to HTML tags.
The new version allows users to repeat a previous search or replacement. A custom regular expression can now be saved in favorites for further use. The new undo feature makes the replacements safer, and syntax highlight improves readability of the displayed web page code.
