May 02, 2008 - J.P. Licks, the homemade ice cream and coffee café with seven scoop shops in and around the Boston area, announces the availability of Mother’s Day cakes and a new line-up of flavors for the month of May.
Available at all J.P. Licks’ locations, J.P. Licks’ Mother’s Day cake is a vanilla ice cream cake with a decadent center of homemade hot fudge and topped with vanilla icing, flowers and a wish for a “Happy Mother’s Day”. All J.P. Licks’ cakes are hand packed which eliminates the air that is present in most ice cream cakes thereby creating a dense and absolutely delicious cake.
Pre-orders are recommended. Only a limited number will be in stock in all locations so be sure to order ahead via phone, online at jplicks.com or stop by one of J.P. Licks stores located at Coolidge Corner, Davis Square, Mission Hill, Newbury Street, Newton Centre, West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain.
Does Mom have a favorite flavor? Custom cake orders for Mother’s Day must be placed at least 48 hours in advance.

J.P. Licks offers ice cream cakes for many holidays, including Father’s Day. Ice cream cakes for any occasion are in stock at each store and include Tiramisu, Oreo Ganache, Strawberry, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chip, Coffee Oreo, Cake Batter Surprise and Oreo/Vanilla Yogurt. Cakes may be personalized at the time of purchase. “Baby” cakes are 6” round and serve 6-10 people; medium cakes are 8” round and serve 8-15 people; large size cakes are 10” round and serve 12-20. Pies are available for customers who crave sorbet or sherbet or one of J.P. Licks’ liquor flavored ice creams.
