May 23, 2009 - Sick Performance Concepts, LLC, an emerging company in the action sports industry, is launching a new ocean sports accessory called the Surf-Grip. The Surf-Grip is a new innovation for riding waves that offers an affordable alternative to body boards or surf boards. The Surf-Grip is a pair of foam paddles with handles that beach goers can use to increase their buoyancy while bodysurfing and get a long ride into shore. It is lightweight and easy to transport, making Surf-Grip an ideal product to bring on beach trips for Memorial Day and summer. A wide audience of beach goers and even tourists will be able to pick up the Surf-Grip and enjoy the thrill and power of the ocean.
The Surf-Grip was invented by a San Diego businessman, Michael Sick, when he decided that he wanted to take his business to the beach and bring his own idea to life. “The ocean is one of our national treasures and with the Surf-Grip, people can enjoy the beauty and the power of waves like never before,” says Michael Sick, inventor of the Surf-Grip. “It’s a different ride and going ‘mano a mano’ with the ocean is a real thrill”.
