May 16, 2009 - Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics a leading supplier of transceiver, has launched a newly optimized NETGEAR compatible transceiver (AGM721F) which is fully compatible with the original NETGEAR transceivers, yet at a much more affordable price. This high performance and reliable transceiver is widely used to help engineers and technicians to meet challenges encountered in a diverse network of topologies.
Compliant with the IEEE 802.3z standard, and possessing 1000BASE-SX hot-swappable function, the NETGEAR compatible transceiver can add fiber connectivity for NETGEAR switches such as the FSM750S, FSM726S and FSM726. It operates on ordinary multimode fiber (MMF) with optic link spans up to 1815ft long. All of GAO's NETGEAR compatible transceivers have been well tested and subjected to stringent quality control procedures.
