A Galaxy Of Doctors Arrived To India From All Over The World For Training Of Laparoscopic Surgery

Silver Oak Hall of Indian Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road glittered with the shine of galaxy of doctors from various countries like Philippine, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Afganistan, Turkey, Iran, UAE etc.


(1888PressRelease) August 14, 2007 - Silver Oak Hall of Indian Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road glittered with the shine of galaxy of doctors from various countries like Philippine, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Afganistan, Turkey, Iran, UAE etc. The occasion was the fare well ceremony of these doctors, who were in India to get training of Laparoscopic Surgery from Renowned Laparoscopic Surgeon of India Dr. R.K .Mishra. On this occasion Ex- Defense Minister Dr. George Fernandes made his presence as chief guest to present mementos and certificates to trained doctors. Minister of Animal Welfare Department Mr. H.L. Atri was also present to grace the event.

Ex- Defense Minister George Fernandes said that it is our pleasure to have a doctor like Mishra in our country, who is serving the mankind with the skills which he has. He has trained more than 2,000 students from all over world till now. Hats Off to his dedication and commitment which he had for his profession.

This training was held at Laparoscopy Hospital New Delhi, established by Dr.R.K.Mishra to provide advanced surgical treatment through Minimal Access Surgery. Dr.R.K.Mishra is one of the Pioneer Laparoscopic surgeons of India. He has the distinction of being First University Qualified Master Minimal Access Surgeon of India. Dr. Mishra has taken his postgraduate super specialized Master degree in Minimal Access Surgery from Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, United Kingdom. He was with Prof. Sir Alfred Cuschieri at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, United Kingdom. He was recipient of Lord Ashdown Award and Award of British Medical Association.

Students from these countries were very happy to be in India for the training. Dr. Saud Mohammad from Pakistan said that Dr. Mishra has not only taught us the laparoscopic techniques but also we have learnt humanity from him. And the people in India also very friendly and I never felt that I am out of my country.

According to Dr. R.K. Mishra, Laparoscopic Surgery should not confine to corporate and Private hospitals it should reach all the remote areas. Because the people in remote areas depends on daily wages for their livelihood and how they will survive if they take rest for long time.
