June 09, 2009 - 8th ITCN Asia 2008- the Biggest IT & Telecom extravaganza of Pakistan ended up successfully on August 13, 2008 at Karachi Expo Centre.
The Event was started with the unique & colorful “Multiple Ribbon Cutting” by Hon’ble Syed Mustafa Kamal Esq., City Nazim Karachi. Mr. Hifz-ur-Rehman, Federal Secretary for Information Technology, Mr. Raza Haroon, Minister for Information Technology, Sindh alongwith Mr. Sikandar Naqvi, S.E.V.P, PTCL, Captain M. Ejaz Haroon, Managing Director, Pakistan International Airlines, Mr. Kamran Y. Mirza, Chairman, EPZA, Mr. Talib Baloch, Managing Director, PSEB were present at the Inaugural Ceremony. Other Foreign Delegates also accompanied the Chief Guest.
The Official Launch of “Command and Control System” also took place at the CDGK Pavilion, which has been set up at 8th ITCN Asia 2008.
The Event covered the area of 6000 sqm with approximately 250 stalls, where more than 100 exhibitors from 15 Countries including China, Dubai, Hong Kong, Taiwan & many more. Approx. 110 foreign delegates attended the Event. A number of overseas Pakistanis also attended ITCN Asia 2008 Int’l Exhibition.
A Networking Gala Dinner in the honor of Foreign Participants & Local Exhibitors was hosted by Ecommerce Gateway at Karachi Expo Centre on 1st Day of Exhibition dated August 11, 2008.Mr. Hifz-ur-Rehman, Federal Secretary for Information Technology was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony while Mr. Talib Baloch, Managing Director, PSEB & other Foreign Delegates were the Guest of Honors. A number of diplomats & other notables were also present.
In three days, approximately 42,000 Trade / Corporate Visitors turned out to attend the Exhibition, which shows a significant achievement. There were two well-attended ITCN Asia Conferences “Int’l Conference on Telecom & IT- ICIT 2008” & “Conference on Call Centres & BPO” which were indeed successful.

The dates for 9th ITCN Asia 2009 – Int’l Exhibition & Conferences have been announced from 11-13 August 2009.
